When an Arab says "yes", he may mean "maybe". When he says "maybe", he probably means "no". You will seldom get a direct "no" from an Arab because it is considered impolite. Also, he does not want to close his opinion. Instead of "no", he will say "inshallah". which means, "if God is willing". On the other hand, "yes" does not necessarily mean "yes". A smile and a slow nod might seem like an agreement, but in fact, your host is being polite. An Arab considers it impolite to disagree with a guest.

18-20 다음 글을 읽고 물음에 답하시오.
Much of Mark Twain’s writing was flippant and bitter satire designed to conform to the accepted standards of the time. As a satirist, Twain used his characters to criticize the culture of the day, especially the politics of the time. Even though his best work was weakened by his anger and bitterness and occasionally reflected his idiosyncrasies, he succeed in producing a novel of great artistic merit. This work, Huckleberry Finn, strikes a balance between Twain’s optimistic youth and his later cynicism, and is properly regarded as one of the masterpieces of American literature. Twain uses a semiliterate boy to express a controlled point of view with its implicit ironies. Dialect is carefully but brilliantly utilized. By employing a journey down the river as the unifying device, Twain successfully blends nostalgic romanticism and realism, humor and sorrow, innocence and evil. The original reaction to the book was to classify it, with Tom Sawyer, as just another book for boys. However, it has since become one of the most popular books of all times
